A View of the Bay Bridge at The Angler

2021-03-30

For a beautiful dinner by the Bay, go to The Angler in San Francisco.

For the past year, I’ve done more cooking in my life than I ever have before. It’s been a healing, creative activity that I can share with others. But I won’t lie – going out to eat at a restaurant where somebody else cooks and cleans for me was such a nice treat.

My friend and I chose to eat at The Angler. It sits right on the Embarcadero, across the street from the water and the Ferry Building. We had a little corner table outside, and we ended up with the best seat in the house. We had an unobstructed view of the sparkling Bay Bridge. If you go, ask for a seat in the corner with that view.

We started off with some cocktails, I with the Milk Punch (it was strong, I tell you) and my friend with the Shiso Sour.

As we started with our cocktails and kept forgetting to decide what to order (the server came by like three times), we noticed that all of the glass and silverware was so on fleek. I love the thin-rimmed glasses and the delicate silverware handles.

We finally got to ordering our food. We started with the Spicy Chicory Caesar Salad, which was actually my personal favorite out of everything. It’s super flavorful and textured.

Along with a bottle of wine, we ordered about 6-7 dishes total and were quite full. Highlights included the rolls, scallops and the artichokes. Note that if you don’t finish a bottle, they’ll give you a cork so that you can take the bottle home.

We topped off with their signature Sundae.

I would definitely recommend for a nice date night, whether that be with a boo or friend. 🙂
