I should, but…ya no.
I wrote a while ago that I had visited Esselon Café for the first time, and since then, I’ve gone back way too many times. I also didn’t know that they served dinner, but it was so good, if not better than the brunch. I highly recommend the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup (add avocado) – it’s comparable or even better than the same option at Bouchon Bakery in NYC.
But aside from the dinner, like I said, I’ve been back way too many times, and I have yet to be disappointed. I recommend the Special Benedict:
And the Special Egg Sandwich is good. I just like special things.
I also have been to High Horse quite a few times, and although everybody would tell me that the burgers were good, I wanted to avoid being way too American, and I would get the nachos… … … but I finally caved and my friend and I split two burgers. We each got a different one and cut them in half so we could try both. I think we’re geniuses. Burgers at High Horse are SO good. So SO SOoosoOoO good. So good that I’m already planning on taking my parents there for burgers when they visit me in the Fall. I also used to really hate french fries, but I’m really into them these days. They’re the new black in my book. I’ll probably have to start wearing a little more black considering how often I’ve been eating them, but now I’m rambling. Also, who doesn’t like eggs. Not me. I love eggs. Eggs make everything better. Usually.
So check these places out!! I’ve given you my favorites, so hope you get as fat – I mean happy, as I am after each meal 🙂
