This post is going to make it sound like I am disliking Paris, but my previous post is meant to counteract that. So here’s da deal: you aren’t supposed to smile at other people in Paris unless you want people to follow you home or steal your purse. Plus, it’s chic.
Now, I’m the type that gets affected by other people’s moods really easily, which is why I tend to surround myself by funny people or happy people, because they’ll keep me laughing and happy. But since nobody smiles at anybody in Paris, I find myself becoming steadily more and more somber and moody.
So PLEASE, smile at people you pass by on campus or on the streets, whether you know them or not. It makes all the difference!!
